Late Breaking Results and Posters
Within the category of Late Breaking Results and Posters, Pervasive 2007
invites shorter papers contributing original and recent research
findings, fundamental results, and novel ideas in the area of pervasive
computing technologies, systems and applications. Contributions will be
peer reviewed and accepted as short papers to be published in the
adjunct proceedings of Pervasive 2007. The adjunct proceedings will be
available electronically from the conference web site and as a physical
publication.

Videos
With the category of Research Videos, Pervasive 2007 seeks research
contributions, future visions, project descriptions, and concepts of
pervasive computing technologies, systems and applications. The
conference particularly values practical experience with design,
deployment and use of pervasive systems and applications, and
investigation of exciting and inspiring ideas and technologies.
Contributions will be peer reviewed and accepted as short papers to be
published in the adjunct proceedings of Pervasive 2007. The adjunct
proceedings will be available electronically from the conference web
site and as a physical publication.

Student Volunteers
Student volunteers provide the backbone of any successful conference.
Accepted volunteers are expected to work in scheduled sessions during
the conference, but will also be given great opportunities to attend the
program and socialize. All student volunteers will receive a free
registration to the conference (including meals & special events) and be
allowed to attend the day of tutorials for free.
The deadline for SV applications for Pervasive 2007 has passed.
Contact the Student Volunteer Chairs for more information: Iqbal Mohomed
and Julie Kientz.

Workshop Proposals
Workshops provide a forum for people to discuss areas of special
interest within pervasive computing with like-minded researchers and
practitioners. Workshops afford the participants the opportunity to
examine an area with a selected focus in an open environment for the
free exchange of views. To foster interaction, the workshops are
limited to 20-30 invited participants. The day-long workshops will
be held prior to the main conference on Sunday May 13, 2007.
Important Workshop Proposal Dates:

Demonstrations
The category of Research Demonstrations offers a unique opportunity to
showcase research prototypes, and to discuss them with an international
audience of experts in pervasive computing. To promote this, Pervasive
2007 is seeking interesting and engaging demonstrations of pervasive
computing technologies. Proposers are invited to submit Research
Demonstrations under the general topics of the conference. Contributions
will be peer reviewed and accepted as short papers to be published in
the adjunct proceedings of Pervasive 2007. The adjunct proceedings will
be available electronically from the conference web site and as a
physical publication. The demonstrations will be introduced during a
plenary session of the conference, and there will also be a reception
dedicated to the presentation of posters and demonstrators.

Doctoral Colloquium
The goal of the Pervasive 2007 Doctoral Colloquium is to provide
useful guidance for the completion of the dissertation research and
initiation of a research career. The Colloquium will provide an
interactive forum for doctoral students who have progressed far
enough in their research to have an Idea Paper and a structured
proposal, but will not be defending their dissertation in the next 6
months. This 6-month stipulation is set in place because we would
like for the students to have sufficient time to incorporate the
advice and suggestions discussed in the colloquium.
